A stylish and elegant set of six nickel silver cociktail glasses designed by Folke Ahrström (1907-1997) for the famed Swedish metal manufacturers, GAB . A perfect compliment to any chic dinner party for serving champagne or sorbet. Swedish, 1930s.

Folke Ahrström was a celebrated Swedish artist, silversmith and cutlery designer. After studying at the Konstakademien, Stockholm (Swedish Academy of fine arts) he went on to design silver and pewter for the GAB (Guldsmedsaktiebolaget) where he later became the director. He introduced a more functionalist design style to metal manufacturing in Sweden and is acknowledged for making stainless steel the choice material for modern cutlery designs.
