About the Artist

Jorge Suárez-Kilzi, born in Venezuela to immigrant parents of Spanish and Syrian descent, signed his works under his mother’s last name, Kilzi. The name relates to his hard childhood, immigrant background, Latin American arts, and a sense of movement and evolution. With experiences in Japan and Swiss architecture, he transitioned to freelance architect and artist in 2018. His recent creation, "Mush" Lamps, features mushroom-shaped lamps made of fibreglass and organic resins, emitting a warm glow in interiors.
