He passed away shortly after we completed the work. A maestro of stone, his practice centred on “marble paintings” made using the ancient technique of Commesso Fiorentino—the art of assembling cut pieces of stone into intricate compositions for furniture and architecture" Jesper Sundberg Örtegren.
