BURGIO. is built on passion, launched in 2022 by co-founders Isabella Burgio and designer Alireza Sadeh to celebrate their shared love of design. After living and working in the UK and China, the creative pair returned to Florence, Italy to design everyday objects with their unique aesthetic and to develop production processes rooted in sustainability and material learning. BURGIO. quickly emerged as a high-end homeware and furniture brand to watch, evolving on our unique point of view with new designs and innovations. Form and function. Strength and playfulness. BURGIO. is focused on being the most sustainable and responsible brand it can be. We are always learning and evolving. Here are a few facts about where we are today. Less waste. BURGIO. stoneware production uses stone from previous batches, recycling old material waste to make new objects seamlessly. Local sourcing. BURGIO.’s marble furniture is produced in Italy, not very far from the BURGIO. studio in Florence. This means we’re close to the production and helps us minimize transport. Always recycle. All BURGIO. packaging is 100% recyclable. BURGIO. co-founders Alireza Sadeh and Isabella Burgio blend their professional backgrounds in fashion and industrial design and shared taste, giving BURGIO. designs the balance of relevant form and function. Isabella studied fashion design in London, before living and working in Shanghai for several years. She has established her own consultancy studio and continues to collaborate with international fashion brands as an artistic director. Alireza studied industrial design in Florence before working as an experiential and spatial designer internationally. He and Isabella returned to Italy in 2022 to establish BURGIO. together.
