The ELEMENTOS Air stool by Daniel Couttolenc is a sculptural solid wood stool whose formal logic appears to contradict physics: the largest mass is held at the top, supported in a way that feels suspended rather than rested. This is detachment made material — a form that lives in the space between what is visible and what is possible. In the black finish, the suspended mass takes on additional presence, its silhouette reading with a clarity that amplifies the strangeness of the gesture.

ELEMENTOS emerges from a single question: what if the four classical elements — Earth, Water, Fire, Air — were translated not into image but into form? Each stool in the family is shaped by that element's essential character, then proportioned according to the golden ratio, so that the geometry itself carries the vibration. The result is a set of sculptural solid wood stools that are related in logic but distinct in presence.

Handcrafted in Mexico in solid wood with a black finish, each piece reads first as form — the geometry sharpened into relief, the grain present beneath but subordinate. ELEMENTOS Air is the most conceptually bold piece in the family. It works in interiors where a single object with strong philosophical intent changes the feeling of a room.
