A hand-built stoneware candle holder featuring a photograph taken in the calanques of Marseille.
Conceived as a small architectural form, the piece brings together image and material. The photograph is transferred onto the ceramic surface using a decal technique, becoming an integral part of the object.
The image captures a staircase carved into the rocky coastline, a familiar feature of the Mediterranean landscape. When lit, the candle adds warmth to the piece and gently transforms its atmosphere.
Handmade in stoneware. Each piece is slightly unique.
