One-of-a-kind piece

A substantial Art Deco pewter bowl, raised on a distinctive pedestal base with turned column supports. Small applied classical motifs decorate the sides. Good weight and presence, ideal as a centerpiece for a table or console — shown here styled with trailing greenery, but equally suited to fruit, flowers, or displayed on its own. Made by the rather unknown foundry CAM (C A Mattinsson), Stockholm, Sweden. Stamped with the CAM maker's mark, 'Svenskt Tenn' (Swedish Pewter), and year code 'E8' for 1931. Dimensions Height: 16 cm (6.3") Diameter: 30 cm (11.9") Condition: Good condition, with a charming patina and light surface wear consistent with age, including light scratches and small marks
