A rare and beautifully preserved sofa by Percival Lafer, one of Brazil’s most celebrated modernist designers. Known for his innovative use of exotic woods and deeply comfortable upholstery, Lafer created furniture that combined architectural clarity with an inviting, relaxed aesthetic. This model is one of his less commonly seen designs, distinguished by its solid wooden frame and softly suspended leather cushions. The sofa has been reupholstered by the previous owner in a high-quality tan leather that suits the piece perfectly. The new leather accentuates the deep pleating and generous padding, enhancing the characteristic Lafer comfort while giving the sofa a fresh, warm appearance.
