  Certificate of Authenticity

A Certificate of Authenticity (COA) is a document issued by a reputable source that confirms the genuineness of an artwork. Often, COAs are signed by the artist, but they can also be signed by the gallery representing the artist or the printmaker who collaborated on the piece. For works sold in the secondary market, COAs are frequently issued by authorized estates or foundations.

COAs usually contain the artist's name, the artwork's title, date, medium, and dimensions, and, whenever possible, an image of the piece.

FAQ

What are the recommended care and cleaning instructions for the metallic platinum glaze to avoid tarnishing or scratching the reflective surface?

To preserve the reflective platinum glaze, dust gently with a soft, dry brush. For any marks, wipe with a damp, lint-free cloth using water only, then dry thoroughly. Avoid all abrasive or chemical cleaners to prevent scratching. When handling, lift with both hands by supporting the body and base.

Since this is a hand-built unique piece (Nest VI), is it signed and/or numbered, and does it include a certificate of authenticity?

Yes, this piece is signed and numbered by the artist and includes a certificate of authenticity.

Is this bowl purely decorative, or is it food-safe and watertight for functional use?

This piece is intended for decorative use only and is not food-safe or watertight.

Does the sculpture arrive fully assembled, and does the base include felt or protective padding to prevent surface scratches?

The sculpture arrives fully assembled. Please note that the base does not include felt or protective padding, so we recommend taking care when placing it on delicate surfaces.

As a hand-built piece, will I receive the exact item shown in the photos, or will the glaze pattern, split, and torn rim vary from the images?

You will receive the exact piece shown in the photographs, including its unique glaze pattern, split, and torn rim.

Is the platinum metallic finish available in alternative glaze tones (e.g. gold or warmer metallics), or is silver/chrome the only option?

The platinum metallic finish is the only option available and cannot be customized in alternative glaze tones.
