Kosta Boda 70's Murano Glass Ashtray
In the 1970s, pressed glass emerged as a field of experimentation, particularly in Scandinavian workshops. This ashtray exemplifies that era through direct and legible material craftsmanship. Attributed to Kosta Boda, it is made from molded and compressed glass. Its square form, with thick walls, is structured by irregular reliefs created during the pressing process. The center, slightly recessed and more geometric, organizes its function. This type of manufacturing emphasizes the materiality of glass without decorative embellishment. The condition is excellent. The glass shows no chips or cracks. Light traces of use may appear upon close inspection.
