John Derian Picture Book
Established in 1989, John Derian’s home goods are sold worldwide. John's decoupage is handmade in his studio in New York City, where he employs a small staff of artisans to assist with production. His empire has grown from decoupaging plates himself with 19th-century artwork sourced from old and rare books to an ever-changing assortment of vintage and antique imports, bed and table linens, stationery, plate-ware, lighting.
This book celebrates the inspiration behind the recognizable prints and designs that make Derian’s creations so individualistic. It includes 300 pages filled with thousands of stunning drawings and graphics that have appeared in his biannual collection. From figures of the natural world including floral arrangements and vibrant-winged butterflies to hand-drawn letters and intimate portraits this large book is a work of art in and of itself.
