FAQ

Does the box come with a certificate of authenticity or any provenance documentation confirming its Meiji-period origin?

This piece is sold as-is, without accompanying certification or provenance documentation.

The color list includes red, but the description only mentions black lacquer and gold. Where does the red appear on the box (e.g., interior lining, accents)?

The red appears as a lacquered lining on the interior of the box, offering a striking contrast to the black and gold exterior.

What are the recommended care and maintenance instructions for this antique lacquerware (cleaning, humidity, light exposure)?

Simply wipe clean with a soft, dry cloth to preserve the delicate lacquer finish.
