In 1960s Italy, brushed brass work was part of a modernist, understated, and geometric aesthetic. This box illustrates this taste for clean lines and controlled surfaces. Italian rectangular box, circa 1960. Gilt brass structure ("Ottone" marking visible), hinged lid. Wooden interior, providing a warm contrast with the metallic exterior.
