Certificate of Authenticity

A Certificate of Authenticity (COA) is a document issued by a reputable source that confirms the genuineness of an artwork. Often, COAs are signed by the artist, but they can also be signed by the gallery representing the artist or the printmaker who collaborated on the piece. For works sold in the secondary market, COAs are frequently issued by authorized estates or foundations.

COAs usually contain the artist's name, the artwork's title, date, medium, and dimensions, and, whenever possible, an image of the piece.

Hand-cast and pigmented gypsum cubes form a quiet, elegant geometric composition. Subtle variations in height create a refined relief, allowing light to move gently across the surface. Despite the nature of plaster, the surface is exceptionally smooth — finished with wax to achieve a refined, almost ceramic-like quality. Each element is cast, sun-dried, and finished by hand in my Rio de Janeiro studio. Signed and dated; accompanied by a certificate of authenticity.
