Inspired by the Parisian terasses and cafés that spill onto the pavements, the French Café collection celebrates the beauty of slow rituals and everyday gathering. Each piece is shaped from aluminium using a combination of hand-forming, bending and fabrication techniques that preserve the spontaneity of a drawn line. Soft curves and irregular surfaces bring warmth and character to the collection, while the raw aluminium finish reveals the honesty of its making. Our interpretation of the Thonet chair reimagines the familiar bentwood silhouette in raw aluminium. Designed to be both comfortable and characterful, its lightness and suitability to external environments makes it the perfect chair for many situations.
Each of these pieces is handmade in our East London workshop. Each piece will be marked for authenticity.
We make these pieces by hand. Please allow us 4-6 weeks to get it ready. Each cafe chair measures approx: 430 mm by 500 mm by 880 mm high.

Yes, the chair is fully weather-resistant and well suited to outdoor use.
Is the raw aluminium finish sealed or treated to prevent oxidation, rust staining, or marking hands/clothing? Will it patina over time?
The finish is sealed with a cured thin layer of Danish oil. As aluminium does not rust, the surface remains protected, though light scratches and marks may develop with use—naturally lending the piece a charming, lived-in patina over time.

The chair supports a maximum load capacity of up to 120 kg.
Can the chair be produced in alternative finishes or colors (e.g. powder-coated, off-white/beige) beyond the raw silver aluminium?
