Female and Male Seated Figures by Marita Norin
Marita Norin (1943-2021) was a skilled Swedish artist who excelled in sculpture, teaching, writing, and cartooning. After studying at Konstfack from 1962-1965, she established a successful career as a sculptor. In her later years, she resided and worked in the quaint village of Ammarnäs in Lapland. Her extensive portfolio includes solo showcases, group and collective exhibitions, and international medal exhibitions in Budapest (1977), Lisbon (1979), and Florence (1983). These exquisite sculptures can be admired from all angles, or utilized as striking bookends with their metallic brass paint on cast iron.
