Deutscher Künstlerbund – 36. Jahresausstellung Stuttgart, 1988 Paperback, 365 p., German, 21*26,5 cm. Original 1988 exhibition catalogue documenting the 36th Annual Exhibition of the Deutscher Künstlerbund (German Artists’ Association), held in Stuttgart from September 10 to October 12, 1988. The exhibition brought together works by numerous German contemporary artists across painting, sculpture, drawing, photography, installation and other media. The exhibition was presented across several Stuttgart institutions, including the Württembergischer Kunstverein, Galerie der Stadt Stuttgart, Galerie unterm Turm and the Staatsgalerie Stuttgart. The programme also included room and sound installations, sculpture in public spaces, a German-French sculpture symposium, and a film and video programme. A special section examined the early history of the Deutscher Künstlerbund, founded in 1903. The publication was issued as Kunstreport 2/88 by the Deutscher Künstlerbund in Berlin and serves as a contemporary record of the exhibition and the artists represented. The cover features an artwork by Galli, who designed the official exhibition poster.
