Smoked glass decanter with stopper, model G628, height 27 cm. Designed and manufactured in the 1920s by Simon Gate for Orrefors Sandvik. Light brown tone in the glass with wonderful shapes and lines. Simon Gate, recruited by Orrefors in 1916, helped pioneer the Graal technique and engraving methods. Orrefors gained international acclaim at the 1925 Paris Exposition Internationale des Arts Décoratifs et Industriels Modernes. Vintage condition, no remarks.
