Contemporary Sculpture in Ceramic - MidNight Garden Collection - No 119
One-of-a-kind piece
Lotus Vessel – No. 119 | Midnight Garden Collection
Part of the Midnight Garden Collection, Lotus Vessel – No. 119 is a one-of-a-kind ceramic sculpture that captures the beauty and movement of a flower suspended in bloom.
Hand-sculpted from black clay, its organic form rises from a rounded base into sweeping, petal-like extensions that unfold with fluidity and grace. The interplay of sculptural curves and delicate edges creates a dynamic silhouette, balancing softness with strength, movement with stillness.
Finished with a subtle satin sheen, the surface catches light along its flowing contours, revealing depth and dimension within the rich black clay.
This sculptural vessel brings a bold yet refined presence to contemporary interiors. Its expressive form embodies the intuitive movement, organic elegance, and quiet mystery that define the work of ceramic sculptor Beverly Morrison.

FAQ
Is this 'Lotus Vessel' functional and watertight (suitable for holding water/flowers), or is it purely a decorative sculpture?
This piece is intended as a decorative sculpture and is suitable for dry arrangements only, not for holding water or fresh flowers.
What are the recommended care and cleaning instructions for the satin-finish black clay surface?
Dust gently with a soft, lint-free cloth, canned air, or a vacuum fitted with a soft brush attachment. If needed, clean with a damp cloth and a small amount of mild soap, then dry thoroughly. Avoid abrasive cleaners, harsh chemicals, or scrubbing materials that could damage the delicate satin finish.
Does this sculpture arrive fully assembled and ready to display, or does it require any setup?
This sculpture arrives fully assembled and ready to display, with no setup required.
As a one-of-a-kind piece, does it come with a certificate of authenticity and/or the artist's signature?
Yes, this one-of-a-kind piece comes with a certificate of authenticity and the artist's signature.
Given the tall, top-heavy petal form, is the base weighted or stable enough to stand safely without tipping? Are felt pads or anti-slip feet included?
Yes, the sculpture is completely stable on its own. For collectors who would like additional security, removable earthquake putty can be used to secure the piece to its display surface, providing extra stability without damaging the sculpture or the surface beneath it when used as directed.
Since this is a signature artist piece, are custom sizes or alternative finishes/colors available on request?
This is a fixed signature design, and custom sizes or alternative finishes are not available.
