A quietly striking pair of cast metal koi, their forms rendered with a beautiful sense of weight and movement. The gently arched bodies and finely detailed scales capture the fluid grace of the koi, a motif long associated in Japan with perseverance, strength, and calm continuity. Finished in contrasting tones of muted gold and silvery patina, the surfaces have aged with character, revealing a softly worn, almost painterly texture. Designed to rest within water, each fish features a small opening beneath, allowing it to sink and settle naturally, as if suspended mid-swim.
