BBSY D001, a diptych in jangpan hanji on cradled wood. The two panels literalize the series' cosmology: one half gathers a cluster of two stars, the other a cluster of three, meeting edge to edge as a single field. Hand-burnt grid lines mark each star's position, fire marks varying in intensity where the heat lingered longest at each intersection.
Part of the artist's Byulbyul Sangjong (별별상종, 星星相從) series, a constellation of singularities, each star distinct, gathering without dissolving into sameness.
The diptych may be installed side by side as a horizontal pair, stacked vertically, or displayed as individual panels, the configuration adapts to the space while the relationship between the two remains intact.
Signed on the verso. Comes with a certificate of authenticity. Sold as a set.
