"ALTER" Pendant Light

Jacqueline Kaytar, a Croatian Australian living on Turrbal and Yuggera land, has spent over 20 years crafting her distinctive style in the creation of objects and spaces. Her work navigates the intersection of art and design, blending sculptural expression with function, particularly in her lighting pieces that engage space through form and light. Guided by a process of alchemic experimentation, Kaytar transforms natural materials like flax, plant dyes, metal, minerals, and beeswax, believing that human touch brings these elements to life. Her hope is that her work—spanning lighting, sculpture, textiles, and architecture—invites sensory pleasure, memory, and contemplation, reminding us of the wonder in the everyday.
