80s Murano Glass Burgundy Oval Dish
In the 1980s, Murano workshops continued their exploration of sculptural forms and smoky glass gradients, adopting a more minimalist approach than the productions of previous decades. This oval Murano glass catchall features a deep burgundy gradient transitioning to transparent, lightly smoked edges. Its flared shape resting on a central conical base evokes certain Italian productions from the late modernist period. Blown and hot-worked glass, made in Murano in the 1980s. Very good vintage condition. Some discreet micro-traces of use visible under raking light, with no chips or cracks. The glass retains beautiful depth and a brilliant finish.
