As the son of a fishmonger, Hållander was a self-taught artist who received a scholarship from Ãrnsköldsvik's art association in 1950. Specializing in still lifes, portraits, and landscapes, Hållander's work is proudly represented at the National Museet and Moderna Museet in Stockholm.
