70's Italian Resin Tortoise Shell Effect Valet Tray
In the 1970s, Italian design readily explored luxurious synthetic materials, with a strong penchant for surface effects and visual contrasts. This resin catch-all dish with a tortoiseshell effect is a beautiful illustration of this, with its softened square shape and its golden circular insert giving it a very graphic presence. An Italian piece from the 1970s, made of tinted resin in amber-brown tones, with a polished finish that recalls the elegance of desk accessories and decorative objects from the period. The whole appeals with its balance between material, reflections, and formal sobriety.
Very good overall condition. The resin presents well, with a beautiful depth of tone and a luminous appearance. Some slight signs of age may be visible upon close examination, without detracting from the piece's presentation. Its dimensions of 16 cm in width and 4 cm in height make it an ideal size for a coffee table, a desk, or a console. A beautiful Italian decorative object, easy to integrate into a well-kept interior, for holding jewelry, keys, or small everyday accessories.
