A design by Turenne Chevallereau in collaboration with the Mobilier national: a coffee table and a side table that transforms into a pouf with a cushion. One of the first flat-pack furniture pieces, it requires no tools for assembly, combining elegance, modularity, and practicality.
Designed in 1968, these avant-garde pieces blend industrial elements with tool-free assembly, foreshadowing the rise of flat-pack furniture. Their ingenious structure relies on a leg system simply slid into the corners, offering modularity and lightness. Easy to disassemble, transport, and reassemble, they are true travel furniture that accompany you throughout life.
The name TU-TU references traditional wood joinery techniques, particularly "tenons and mortises" while paying homage to the designer’s first name and nickname.
