Decanter Set Simon Gate
Extremely refined decanter set crafted circa 1920s, designed by the notable Simon Gate (1883-1945). This set includes 11 pieces: one decanter, four short glasses, and six tumblers, making it the perfect after dinner drink service. Gate's collaborative work with Knut Berqvist and Edward Hald at Orrefors, famed for their experimental glass creations, brought global recognition to the company and established Orrefors' reputation for exquisite Swedish Grace glass at the 1925 World Exhibition in Paris. Simon Gate's masterpieces can be found at the National Museum in Stockholm, the Örebro County Museum, and the Kalmar Art Museum, among others. This Swedish creation from the 1920s is a true testament to Gate's mastery in the industry.
