In the 1960s, travertine became a prominent material in everyday objects in Italy. Smoker's desk sets embody this desire to unify use and material, with simple lines and a strong mineral presence. This set, by an unidentified manufacturer, includes a matching box, ashtray, and candle holder. Each piece is carved from light travertine, revealing its natural cavities.
