TAVARES HISTORY In 1922, Virgílio Aristides Tavares opened the doors of Ourivesaria Tavares for the first time, in Póvoa de Varzim. Many women entered through number 54 of Rua da Junqueira, who, with their husbands at sea, placed in gold all their hope and faith, also having in it a guarantee of sustenance in uncertain times.
