'L’Escargot' Table Lamp
The elegant ribs of the Tonna Gallea sea snail (a North Atlantic native commonly known as a Giant Tun) inspired the sexy brown coils of L'Escargot Lamp.
Standing 20" tall, its hand-dyed-leather-wrapped concrete base and steel column rises to a vintage matte-white sea-snail-shell shade with subtle brown and tan striations, sourced from a private collection.
Fully adjustable on both axes, heavy-duty brass swivels at the top and bottom of the column allow for fine-tuning of the shade angle and overall silhouette. Unfinished brass hardware, a khaki cloth-covered cord, 1940s-style plug, and black in-line Euro-style switch complete the profile of this hard-working, all-natural beauty.
Made-to-order by hand in a numbered, signed edition by artist Christopher Tennant.
