A wonderful example of early French Art Nouveau by the ceramicist Jérôme Massier (1850-1916) from Vallauris. Knotted handles and glazed in a deep shade of Bordeaux red. The famous Massier family from Vallauris were famous for their Art Nouveau ceramic creations. Renowned innovators in the artistic movements of their time and at the forefront of modernity for their techniques. Ceramics created Jérôme, Clement and Delphin were displayed across the world at many design exhibitions.
