Pliée Table & Wall Lamp by Ben Swildens

Pliée was born from a single gesture: a sheet of steel, folded into a form of striking simplicity. From this elemental act, Ben Swildens drew a lamp that holds its spherical light source with the quiet confidence of something that could not have been designed any other way. Sculptural and precise, Pliée plays with light across its folded steel surface, casting a warm, intimate glow whether used as a table lamp or a wall light. Designed in 1970 and originally produced by Verre Lumière, it is reissued by Source Édition and made in France, faithful to the original geometry and proportions.
