MOON is a sculptural bench made from solid beech wood and entirely shaped by hand. The surface is carved and gouged to create a tactile, textured finish while preserving the soft, organic lines of the overall form. The wood is then stained black, giving the piece a deep and expressive appearance while allowing the carved surface to remain visible. Handmade in France, MOON is part of Antoine Maurice’s sculptural furniture practice, combining contemporary design, handcrafted woodworking and a strong exploration of texture and material.
