BBSY 003 (Constellation of Singularities), Wall-mounted Relief
Fait sur commande — créé spécialement pour vous
A single panel in jangpan hanji, worked with heat and fire, mounted on cradled wood. This piece holds its own small constellation, several stars scattered unevenly across the grid, some close together, others isolated at a distance. Each hand-burnt mark sits at a different intersection, uneven in placement the way stars are never evenly spaced.
Part of the artist's Byulbyul Sangjong (별별상종, 星星相從) series. The title plays on a Korean idiom, 유유상종 (like gathers with like) turned inward: difference gathers with difference, each star keeping its own singularity.
Jangpan hanji on cradled wood, worked with heat and fire.
30.5 x 45.7 x 5.0 cm.
2026.
