Wooden Bench - AROS Series in Smoked Oak
The Aros is a smoked oak bench, a long, low seat, wood and textile, the oak framing a soft seat above. The seat is worked in fabric from Dedar, the celebrated Italian textile house whose name the trade knows on sight, set over a base of smoked oak darkened to a deep brown with the grain still legible. As a smoked oak bench it is the soft counterpoint to the brand's harder materials, warmth where the rest of the range is cool. Beneath the seat, a solid oak frame does the structural work, its members interlocking at right angles so the joinery reads as part of the form rather than something hidden away. Quiet and low, the oak bench suits an entrance hall or the foot of a bed, at ease in a calm, considered interior.
