Stainless Steel Wall Sconce - Sigil Series

The Sigil Crest Wall Sconce is a sculptural stainless steel and selenite wall light from the Sigil Collection by Nitush Aroosh. Its undulating steel body cradles a column of selenite that gives off a warm, candle-like glow, the translucent stone softening the light while the steel scatters what falls around it. Sigil pieces are hydroformed and then worked by hand, leaving surfaces with the weathered character of ancient metal objects. The stone is selected for how it holds and releases light, so steel and selenite work in opposition: one distorts the ambient light, the other absorbs it and returns it warm and diffused. Compact and precisely proportioned, the sconce suits living rooms, bedrooms, hallways and hospitality interiors where intimate lighting is wanted. Nitush Aroosh is the New Delhi collectible design studio of brothers Nitush and Aroosh Mahipal.
