  Certificate of Authenticity

A Certificate of Authenticity (COA) is a document issued by a reputable source that confirms the genuineness of an artwork. Often, COAs are signed by the artist, but they can also be signed by the gallery representing the artist or the printmaker who collaborated on the piece. For works sold in the secondary market, COAs are frequently issued by authorized estates or foundations.

COAs usually contain the artist's name, the artwork's title, date, medium, and dimensions, and, whenever possible, an image of the piece.

FAQ

Does this hand mirror arrive fully assembled and ready to use, including the leather hanging cord?

This hand mirror arrives fully assembled and ready to use, complete with its leather hanging cord.

What are the recommended care and maintenance instructions for the raw unsealed brass, and how can the patina be slowed or restored to original shine if desired?

The raw brass is left unsealed and will naturally develop a patina over time. To slow this process, avoid prolonged exposure to moisture and handle the mirror with clean, dry hands. Should you wish to restore the original shine, simply use a gentle brass cleaner or a mild household method, finishing with a soft cloth.

Can the brass be ordered with a protective sealed/lacquered finish to prevent natural patina, or is it exclusively available as raw brass?

This mirror is available exclusively in raw, unsealed brass, allowing it to develop a natural patina over time.

What type of mirror glass is used, and is the reflection flat/true (no distortion or magnification)?

The mirror features standard flat glass that offers a true reflection, with no distortion or magnification.

Is the leather hanging cord available in different colors or finishes, and what type of leather is used?

The hanging cord is crafted from natural brown leather and comes tied to the mirror. It is available in this finish only.

Since each piece is cast in solid brass with an irregular sculptural frame, can you confirm whether each unit varies slightly and if the photo accurately represents the piece I will receive?

Yes, as each piece is individually cast in solid brass with an irregular sculptural frame, slight variations are to be expected. The photo offers an accurate representation of the piece you will receive.
