BBSY D001 Wall-mounted Relief
Fait sur commande — créé spécialement pour vous
BBSY D001, a diptych in jangpan hanji on cradled wood. The two panels literalize the series' cosmology: one half gathers a cluster of two stars, the other a cluster of three, meeting edge to edge as a single field. Hand-burnt grid lines mark each star's position, fire marks varying in intensity where the heat lingered longest at each intersection.
Part of the artist's Byulbyul Sangjong (별별상종, 星星相從) series, a constellation of singularities, each star distinct, gathering without dissolving into sameness.
The diptych may be installed side by side as a horizontal pair, stacked vertically, or displayed as individual panels, the configuration adapts to the space while the relationship between the two remains intact.
Signed on the verso. Comes with a certificate of authenticity. Sold as a set.

FAQ
What wall-mounting system is used, and is the mounting hardware included for both panels?
Mounting hardware is not included, allowing you to select the system best suited to your wall type for a secure installation.
What are the recommended care and maintenance instructions for the jangpan hanji surface and the hand-burnt fire marks (e.g. dusting, humidity, light exposure)?
Dust lightly with a soft, dry cloth. Avoid direct sunlight, moisture, and heat sources to preserve the surface. The natural hanji may gently deepen or soften in tone over time, adding to its unique character.
As this is made-to-order, can the star configuration, color palette, or panel size be customized on request?
This piece is not customizable and is sold exactly as shown.
Does the certificate of authenticity include edition information (unique piece vs. numbered edition) and artist details?
This is a unique, one-of-a-kind piece, accompanied by a certificate of authenticity.
