Overview

Une nature morte magnifiquement peinte représentant un bouquet de muguet dans un simple vase en verre sur un fond noir. Une pièce silencieuse et séduisante. De loin, le détail des fleurs semble extraordinaire. De près, chaque fleur dégage une sensation plus abstraite. Magnifiquement peint à l'huile sur carton par un artiste peu connu, Werner Weber, daté de 1961. Rappelant les natures mortes florales hollandaises des XVIIe et XVIIIe siècles de Rachel Ruysch. Le muguet symbolisait la virtuosité dans les peintures florales de cette époque où la société néerlandaise était profondément protestante et où la vie était mêlée de proverbes moralisateurs.
