Agathe Lavaud, the founder of Volta, graduated in 2014 with a degree in interior design from Penninghen. She then went on to complete her architecture studies at the prestigious Ecole Nationale Supérieure d’Architecture in France. After gaining valuable experience at internationally acclaimed firms such as Wilmotte & Associés and Thierry Lemaire Architecture, Lavaud decided to launch her own agency in 2016. Driven by a passion to highlight the functional, aesthetic, and sustainable qualities of cork, she created the 'Meï' collection, her debut furniture line.
