Referencing his background in architecture, Devin Wilde draws inspiration from an eclectic range of styles, namely Post Modernism, Classical, and Art Deco. He explains, “I explore forms that simultaneously convey both ancient and distinctly modern sensibilities. The interplay between shape and shadow is key to my work. The geometric languages I develop are a careful marriage of form & function; they give structure to the pieces, yes, but are primarily mechanisms for creating drama with light.”
