This piece rests on a sharp contrast between two metals: a square chrome base with strict lines, and a round polished gold brass bowl set slightly proud of the surface. This interplay of shapes and finishes, characteristic of Hollywood Regency style, was designed to catch and reflect light rather than conceal the material. Fully metal construction, with a silver-toned chrome base and a polished gold brass bowl, visible screwed assembly along the edge. Italian production in the 1970s made frequent use of this mix of materials for desk and living-room objects meant for both decorative and functional use. Good overall condition. The dish saw little use, which accounts for a few micro-scratches on the gold bowl, visible depending on the light, with no impact on the overall shine. Dimensions: 13 cm wide, 4.5 cm high.
