Shadow Line Woven Artwork
This piece expands on the artist’s concept for woven panelling and screens, exploring materiality, texture, and transparency. Banana fibre, typically considered a waste product and left to degrade once the fruit has been harvested, is given new purpose here. Each element is hand-dyed in the studio.
Installation: The work is fitted with screw brackets installed on the timber beam it hangs from, allowing it to be mounted over screws in the wall.
Care: The piece can be ironed or steamed.
