A striking hand-painted ceramic vase in Art Deco Revival style, featuring a richly detailed faux burl wood finish in warm amber and brown tones. This variation features a classic baluster-inspired silhouette with a gently rounded body, flared glossy black neck and contrasting black foot. The intricate hand-painted burl wood effect gives the surface remarkable depth, recalling highly polished exotic wood while retaining the smooth, luminous quality of glazed ceramic. The combination of warm marbled tones, strong symmetry and contrasting black detailing gives the vase a distinctly sophisticated Art Deco character, while its decorative finish reflects the opulent revivalist interiors of the 1980s. Equally striking displayed alone as a sculptural decorative object or used with a restrained floral arrangement. 21 cm high, approx. 13 cm diameter
