Pavilion explores the relationship between material and function, demonstrating how small–scale 3D printing can be scaled up to create impactful designs. Engineered with a flexible structure, the shade is printed at a highly compact, small scale, allowing it to seamlessly stretch into large, dramatic dimensions. Though entirely 3D-printed, the material boasts a soft, fibrous texture reminiscent of light Xuan paper, inviting touch while maintaining precise geometric integrity. When illuminated, this specialised composition optimizes light transmission, transforming the intricate ridges and folds of the shade into a mesmerising diffuser that casts a warm, atmospheric glow across any space.
