Accessibility Statement
Last updated: 4 August 2026
Last assessed: July–August 2026
This accessibility statement applies to the e-commerce website operated by The Oblist at oblist.com (including language versions such as English and French).
The Oblist is committed to making its online shopping service accessible to people with disabilities. We work to improve the experience for everyone and to meet applicable accessibility requirements for e-commerce services.
Service description
The Oblist is an online marketplace / e-commerce service for design furniture and home décor. Customers can browse collections, search for products, view product details, manage a cart, complete purchases through an online checkout, create an account, and contact customer support.
Conformance status
We aim to conform to:
- EN 301 549 (harmonised European standard for ICT accessibility), and
- Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA.
Status: partially conforms. Large parts of the storefront follow accessibility best practices (for example landmarks, labelled forms, product-card alternative text, and keyboard-operable dialogs). Some areas do not yet fully meet WCAG 2.1 AA. We are actively remediating known issues and will update this statement as fixes are released.
We do not claim full conformance at this time.
How the service supports accessibility
Where implemented, the website is designed to support:
- Keyboard navigation of main journeys
- Semantic page structure (headings, landmarks, labelled controls)
- Text alternatives for many product images
- Compatible behaviour with common modern browsers and assistive technologies
- An accessible feedback channel for reporting barriers (see below)
Known limitations
Despite our efforts, some content or features may not yet be fully accessible. Known or possible limitations include:
- Third-party components we do not fully control (for example chat widgets, wishlist apps, search interfaces, analytics, captcha, or payment providers)
- Checkout and order-status pages hosted by Shopify, which may include platform or app customizations outside our theme
- Product media alternative text that may occasionally be incomplete depending on merchant/admin content
- Certain interactive storefront controls (for example some icon-only buttons, focus styles, or contrast tokens) currently being fixed as part of our remediation plan
- Older PDF or media files, if any, that may not yet be fully accessible
If you encounter a barrier, contact us. We will do our best to provide the information in an accessible format or help you complete your purchase through a reasonable alternative.
Where content is not fully accessible because it is provided by a third party outside our control, or where remedying it would require a fundamental alteration or impose a disproportionate burden under applicable law, we will document that position and provide alternatives where reasonably possible.
Measures to support accessibility
- Integrating accessibility into design and development practices
- Reviewing key pages and journeys (keyboard and automated checks)
- Prioritising remediation of known issues on our product roadmap
- Considering accessibility when selecting third-party tools and apps
- Updating this statement after material changes or new assessments

The Oblist assessed accessibility of this website through a combination of:
