Pair of "Leopard" Murano Glass Vases from the 1980s
In the 1980s, Murano glass explored bolder decorative styles, while maintaining high technical standards. The so-called leopard motifs are part of this period, playing on the depth of the material and the contrast between amber transparency and dark inclusions.
This pair of vases was made in Murano using traditional glassblowing techniques. The speckled decoration is integrated into the glass itself, achieved by layering and fusing colored glass while hot. The shapes are slender and gently curved, with a thick base that ensures stability and visual presence. Italian production, circa 1980. Designer unattributed.
The condition is excellent. No chips, no cracks. The glass is brilliant, without any noticeable scratches. The patterns are crisp and uniform, attesting to expert craftsmanship. The small vase measures approximately 8 cm wide by 20 cm high. The large one is 12 cm wide by 31 cm high.
