Limited Edition Photography by Matthieu Lavanchy with Silk Cord Frame by Peter Wiesmann

The limited edition photography XXième (Constance Spry) emerged from a shared interest in the archive and the everyday beauty of objects among objects. The frame can move effortlessly between wall and table by adjusting the Japanese silk cord, transforming the photograph into an intimate object. Together, Lavanchy and Wiesmann have explored the legacy of the celebrated British florist Constance Spry and the vases produced for her by Fulham Pottery between the 1930s and 1950s. A Swiss photographer based in Paris, Lavanchy's photograph captures the collection with his characteristic sensitivity to composition and attention to material presence. Alongside his artistic practice, Lavanchy collaborates with leading cultural institutions, luxury fashion houses and foundations. Peter Wiesmann draws on traditions of jewellery, accessory and couture. Alongside his independent work, Wiesmann has developed objects and accessories for leading international houses including Hermès and Georg Jensen, shaping how objects are seen, touched, arranged and experienced. Crafted in Denmark by skilled makers, the piece reflects Cassetta's approach to framing as a spatial and tactile practice, where thoughtful craftsmanship, material integrity and lasting quality come together.
