The Lana Chair draws on the landscape surrounding Momostenango, where afternoon clouds settle over the highlands and centuries-old weaving traditions continue to shape daily life.
Crafted with locally sourced virgin wool from the region, the upholstery follows concentric channels carved into the frame, allowing the fibers to settle naturally into the surface and soften its sculptural form.
Rather than applying the textile as a finish, the Lana Bench integrates it into its construction, creating a dialogue between the monolithic solid wood and one of Guatemala's oldest textile craft traditions.

What are the recommended care and cleaning instructions for the virgin wool upholstery?
Upholstered in a delicate, hand-carded and hand-knotted wool pile, the Lana Chair requires gentle care. The wool is finished with a hydrophobic nano-polymer coating that protects it from liquids and dust. For regular cleaning, use a soft, light duster or a dry cloth. The chair may be vacuumed using a non-combed nozzle at the lowest setting, holding it about one inch away from the wool pile rather than in direct contact. Avoid hard brushes and any cleaning liquids, as these can permanently mat the wool and prevent it from returning to its original softness. Should a liquid be spilled, it will be repelled and encapsulated by the protective coating; simply apply a dry paper towel immediately and allow it to absorb the liquid without scrubbing. As a handmade artisan product, a few natural fibers may occasionally remain in the wool; these can be gently plucked by hand or with tweezers and trimmed with small scissors.
