A rare pair of demilune Art Deco consoles where furniture gives way to architecture. Richly figured rosewood veneer is combined with sweeping chromed steel supports, creating a composition that feels both monumental and impossibly light. The curved metal elements do not simply support the structure; they draw it, sketching a line through space before returning to the plinth below. The design carries echoes of French Art Deco at its most progressive, when craftsmanship and industry became collaborators rather than opposing forces. The semi-circular tops suggest ceremony rather than utility — small stages for lamps, objects, or collections. Nearly a century later, the vocabulary remains Deco, but the spirit feels closer to modern gallery furniture: restrained, architectural, and deeply aware of space. Very good vintage condition with minor surface wear. Sold as a pair.
